INTRODUCTION:

The ZMZ-002577/002579 basis on the “DCS” or “FIELDBUS” topology (standardized as the IEC_61131 or IEC_61158), depending on the maritime vessel’s demands and level of redundancy. Said systems include several Control Levers and Human Machine Interface (HMI) for monitoring in parallel and can be embedded on the single frame, which is in the hierarchy located on the top, several PLC(s) as the medium level in the hierarchy, lower level equipment in the hierarchy consisting of Electro-Hydraulically/Electronically controlled actuator which are doing the jobs as the system’s outputs and as the system’s feedback, so many designated alarms that will be assigned to the several points of CPP(s), Engine/Gearbox or Azimuth thruster’s sensors as the Distributed Control/Fieldbus safeties related to the system.

SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE:

The system consisting of two independent sets central PLC(s) which are composing the main RCS stations (as the higher layer in the hierarchy, which are located in the ECR and BRIDGE) and several Sub-Stations which are connecting to the main stations (as the medium layer), through the PROFIBUS DP or PROFINET, those will be located in the Wings and Emergency Stand. There are several remote stations consisting of the compact Control Levers/HMI(s) as Control and safety monitoring stations (machine control/ interfaces to the operators), which can be located in the several monitoring stations like BRIDGE, WINGs, ECR, Emergency Stand and etc. depending to the individual types of maritime vessels. The interface to the exterior systems and Networks, like PMS and IAMS also two sets of independent interconnections have been established via PROFIBUS DP.

 

REDUNDANCY:

To ensure the redundancy to the ZMZ-002577/002579, we have established two separate sets of CPU(s) for each station, which are working in parallel and independently, two sets of Ethernet modules to exchange data in between the two sets of main CPU(s) in each station and also for more safety reason, all stations have been connected to each other through parallel communication lines, those will be achieved through the separate CANBUS(s).

 

SEA TRIAL:

Several versions of the “ZMZ-002577” and “ZMZ-002579” have been successfully designed, installed and commissioned for several types of vessels working in the different maritime fields of activities and necessary sea-trials have been done consequently.
